VI. COOKIES

  1. On our website we use „cookies“ in order to give visitors greater convenience while browsing. „Cookies“ are small text files that the website creates in your device the moment you access it.
  2. Our website uses both so-called „session cookies“ and so-called „persistent cookies“.
    • Session cookies make it possible to browse the individual tabs of our site and remember any information you enter there. A session cookie is deleted automatically the moment you close the browser, or shortly afterwards.
    • Persistent cookies allow this website to remember your preferences and settings for your next visit, so that, for example, you do not have to log in repeatedly. Persistent cookies expire automatically after a set period of time.
  3. Our website uses cookies that:
    • improve the performance of the website by collecting information about how visitors use it (for example, which tabs are visited most often).
    • increase the functionality of the website and bring it closer to you by allowing us to remember your earlier choices. However, this information is not used to identify you or to remember where you have been on the internet.
    • enable certain tools to work, provide protection against spam and access to age-restricted content; and
    • enable some of our suppliers to provide services which they provide on our behalf in relation to the website.
  4. „Cookies“ are not viruses. They are only text files that contain no program and therefore cannot be run as a program. A „cookie“ file cannot copy itself or send itself around the internet. However, your browser sends them at every visit to the website they belong to, and the site is then displayed in your browser with your settings.
  5. Using „cookies“ we can also record statistical data in general terms about the behaviour of visitors to this website. Thanks to this we can adapt it specifically to your interests and requirements.
  6. „Cookies“ help us identify particularly popular or problematic parts of the website, but they cannot be linked to a specific user.
  7. We also use „cookies“ for the purposes of your authentication, that is, to eliminate the need to enter identification details about yourself on every subsequent visit to the website. At the same time we use them to adapt the website to your needs, for example so that the website continues to be displayed in the language you have chosen or in a particular layout.
  8. You can of course browse this website without „cookies“, but it is possible that some of its functions will be limited and the comfort of use will be reduced. Most browsers accept these files automatically, but you can prevent them from being stored by selecting the „do not accept cookies“ option in your browser settings. You can also delete „cookies“ already stored on your device at any time. You can find the exact setting for this function in your browser’s „help“.
  9. By using the website you consent to the use of „cookies“ in the manner described above.
