At the beginning of the 19th century a cross was erected in the village, where residents gathered for devotions. In 1836 a cholera epidemic broke out around Lomná, and this cross served as a place of supplication and pilgrimage. The prayers were answered. Using their own collections, the faithful built the pilgrimage Church of the Holy Cross and a small monastery on the site in 1894 and 1896.
At the end of the 20th century a Way of the Cross with a statue of the resurrection of Christ was created near the church. In the village there is a spring of drinking water, beside which an artificial grotto with a statue of the Virgin Mary was built between 1968 and 1970.
